On Saturday October 8th, Colorado Group Realty and the Young Professionals Network will be collecting lightly worn coats in a Coat Drive for LiftUp of Routt County. Volunteers will be in front of Natural Grocers from 8AM-6PM. The coats donated will be distributed to those in need during LiftUp of Routt County’s upcoming coat distribution.

The goal of this year’s Coat Drive is to receive 500 lightly worn coats. There is a high demand for children’s coats in all shapes and sizes. In addition, donations of winter hats, gloves and snow pants will be accepted. The following cannot be accepted: company branded apparel, dysfunctional zippers, and torn, ripped or stained items. Donors can also donate cash or checks to LiftUp at the event.

“The Coat Drive is exactly the type of event that the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation seeks to lead. Helping those less fortunate in the community is something we strive to do every day. We’re excited to partner with YPN and LiftUp again on this wonderful event,” said Steve Goldman, CEO of Colorado Group Realty.

LiftUp of Routt County provides charitable assistance to meet basic human needs while promoting personal growth and self-sufficiency. LiftUp aims to serve their clients in a non-judgmental atmosphere and demonstrate compassionate care, respecting the dignity of every person. “Last year, a family of two hard working parents and two growing boys were in need of warm jackets. We were privileged to be able to provide warm winter jackets for the entire family thanks to the generous support of the community during this coat drive,” stated Lynn Nyen, Community Support Manager. Coats will be distributed at LiftUp from 10/17-10/21, 1-5PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10AM-5PM on Wednesday.
