Colorado Group Realty was thrilled to present Steamboat Creates a donation for $20,000 following their annual Parade of Homes, making it the most successful Parade to date. The funds will be used by Steamboat Creates to send children in need to their Young at Arts Creativity Camps and to purchase a new AV system for the Art Depot.
“Working with Colorado Group Realty was an incredibly fulfilling experience,” said Dagny McKinley, Development Director at Steamboat Creates. “The collaboration to include interactive art in each home and to enhance the day of the fundraiser with an after-event, Eat Art, highlighted creativity in our community and engaged a new audience with the abundance of arts, culture and heritage we have in Steamboat. We are so grateful for Colorado Group Realty’s Charitable Foundation efforts to support community organizations.”
The Parade of Homes has become a popular annual Steamboat event with over 600 parade-goers visiting six special homes this year. “This is not an open house or homes for sale,” said Kara Larrabee, Marketing Director at Colorado Group Realty, “These are unique homes with interesting features and stories, owned by generous people willing to open their homes to the community.”
The Parade features homes with a variety of architecture, design, location and views. Parade-goers voted a home in Anglers Ridge Estates owned by Kathy and Scott Schroeder as the “Steamboat Springs Home of the Year”. The home was recently remodeled by contractor Marc Fraioli with Affordable Home and Lawn, with interior design by Robin Campbell and the furniture provided by Olivia’s Home Furnishings.
